Join us for an evening of bat discovery!

Location: Garson Public Library (214 Orell St, Garson)

Cost: Pay-what-you-can donation to support local bat monitoring and conservation programs.

The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee will be talking all things bats and demonstrating bat detection technology! We’ll kick things off with a short introduction to local bat species, followed by a hands-on demo of acoustic bat monitor. Then, we’ll head out for a guided walk to listen for and identify bats in real time using specialized equipment. It’s a unique chance to explore the night and learn about these fascinating and elusive creatures.

What to bring:

• Headlamp or flashlight (if possible)
• Dress for the weather
• Bug protection is recommended (ex. bug net gear)

Registering helps us organize and ensures you get last minute notifications such as cancellation due to extreme weather conditions or other changes.
