Meet the plants and find animal clues in our greenbelt!
Exciting news! We’re holding a mini bio-blitz in the Roxborough Greenbelt. Come help us ID as many plant species (and other species living in the greenbelt) as we can. Junction Creek Stewardship Committee is joining us to lead the bio blitz, and will have kid friendly activities to take part.
Let’s measure the biodiversity in our woods, see the impacts of our stewardship efforts, and get great info to help us plan future plantings.
And – are you interested in helping to keep invasive plant species out of our natural areas? The neighbourhood work group will guide volunteers in removing unwanted plants from the Roxborough greenbelt which will help native plants and animals to thrive! Wear some work clothes and gloves and bring a friend! When we remove invasive species, we make more room for native plants to thrive.
Event by Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt and Junction Creek Stewardship Committee.
