Supporting invasive species action in our community with funding from the Invasive Species Action Fund!

FREE Invasive Species Walk and Pull event August 3rd at 6pm! The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee will be delivering interactive guided hikes to youth and community members along targeted sections of the Junction Creek Waterway Park trail system.

Participants will receive an invasive species kit filled with educational material and boot brushes. During the hike, participants will learn how to use the resources in their invasive species kit and get the opportunity to test them while identifying invasive plants, reporting sightings of invasive species on the EDDmapS app, and using the boot brush to prevent the spread of invasive plant seeds. This project is made possible with support from the Invasive Species Centre’s Invasive Species Action Fund and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
