The Junction Creek Festival and Trout Release is an annual tradition for many families during the second Saturday in May. The free public event attracts over 600 people of all ages to Twin Forks Park, where games, live turtles, and educational resources engage the community in creek stewardship and conservation.

During the festival, people are brought together to celebrate the biodiversity that has returned to the Junction Creek watershed as a result of the community’s dedicated restoration efforts. Interactive displays, free resources, and community displays offer learning opportunities about local wildlife and water quality. Participants also contribute to the restoration of Junction Creek by releasing stock Brook Trout into the creek, courtesy of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
