The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee would like to invite you to a community tree planting event on Saturday October 18th. Help us bring new life to Junction Creek! By planting trees, you’ll be restoring shoreline habitat, creating healthier waters, supporting local wildlife, mitigating climate change, building a more resilient community, and making our trails more vibrant for everyone.
TD Tree Days Event 🌳
📅Date: Saturday October 18th, 2025
⏰Time: 1-4pm **we are also looking for volunteers to help with event prep in the morning (please email restoration@junctioncreek.com)
📍Location: Garson trails along Junction Creek by the Public Library (214 Orell St)
What to expect:
🎉 Opening ceremony song and a craft activity for the children by:
- Better Beginnings Better Futures Indigenous Led Program

- Wiingash Gamig – Sophia Dewer
🌳 Planting 150 native trees and shrubs (gloves and shovels provided)
🍎 FREE snacks and refreshments
🧤 Earn community service hours
