Join us the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee for an exciting evening of bat discovery at our upcoming community bat walk and explore the fascinating world of bats! Learn about our local bat species, bat population monitoring, and how you can support local bat conservation efforts. This event will include a guided walk at night (weather permitting) using acoustic bat monitors to detect these amazing nocturnal creatures.
This event is kindly supported by the Witches & Weirdos as part of their Gaia’s Graveyard Market! Before the walk, explore the Gaia’s Graveyard Market, a one-of-a-kind celebration of the strange and beautifully bizarre! The Market will take place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Bat Walk starts at 9:00 PM) at The Polish Combatants Hall – 291 Albinson Street, Sudbury, ON.. Join us for an unforgettable day where nature, art, and the mysterious come together!
Please note seeing bats is not guaranteed!
What to bring:
* Headlamp or flashlight (limited supply available to borrow)
* Dress for the weather
* Bug protection is HIGHLY recommended (ex. bug net gear, bug spray)
