2023 Empowering Youth for Junction Creek

We are excited to announce that the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee is partnering with the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) to integrate our Empowering Youth for Junction Creek program with CWF's Wild Outside program in Sudbury/ N'Swakamok!
The FREE program is specifically designed to inspire youth aged 15 to 18 to explore and discover the natural world around them. Participants will get the opportunity to get outside and develop a profound connection with nature while they fulfill conservation and community service projects, partake in fun outdoor recreational activities, and meet other young people in their area! Did we mention that it's a great way to gain volunteer community hours, plus participants receive free swag and resources while making a positive change in the community.
The JCSC will be facilitating clean-up events, invasive species management, wildlife surveys, stormwater awareness activities, and more fun activities for participating youth. We will also be connecting the youth with other outdoor community volunteer opportunities!
