Our staff work throughout the Junction Creek watershed in both urban and remote areas on a variety of research, restoration, community outreach and education projects.

Ecological Technician – English/ French
The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee (JCSC) is seeking a passionate, reliable, and self-motivated Ecological Technician to support environmental stewardship and restoration activities for the Junction Creek watershed. They will work with the JCSC team to mitigate pollutants, restore impaired habitat, and promote community stewardship. Programs will be completed in collaboration with community partners, stakeholders and rights holders, and will involve various watershed projects in Greater Sudbury/ N’Swakamok, offering a unique opportunity to work with various community groups, gain hands-on experience in environmental restoration, and make a positive impact.
Term: 8-16 weeks, summer youth position with possibility of extension (dependent upon external funding)
Remuneration: $17.60-$23/hr, 35hr/week
Anticipated start date: between April 20th and June 29th, 2026

Environmental Education & Outreach Program Coordinator
The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee (JCSC) is seeking a passionate, reliable, and self-motivated Environmental Education & Outreach Program Coordinator to work alongside the Junction Creek Stewardship team to assist with environmental stewardship, educational programs, outreach, and youth nature programs for the Junction Creek watershed. The project will be completed in collaboration with community partners, local experts, and Knowledge Holders, and will involve various educational programs such as Bug Search, Watershed & Stream Health, community science, and more.
Term: 8-16 weeks, summer youth position with possibility of extension (dependent upon external funding)
Remuneration: $17.60-$23/hr, 35hr/week

Field Biologist
The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee (JCSC) is seeking a passionate, reliable, and self-motivated Field Biologist to assist with wildlife research, ecological monitoring, and environmental conservation activities within the Junction Creek watershed. The Field Biologist will assist with filling knowledge gaps and building scientific databases in fauna and flora biodiversity and stream health for the Junction Creek watershed. The position is based in Greater Sudbury/ N’Swakamok, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with diverse species and field equipment while contributing to local wildlife conservation efforts.
Term: 8-16 weeks, summer youth position with possibility of extension (dependent upon external funding)
Remuneration: $17.60-$23/hr, 35hr/week

Water Stewardship Assistant
The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee (JCSC) is seeking a passionate, reliable, and self-motivated Water Stewardship Assistant to work along side the JCSC team to assist with water stewardship and youth nature programs for the Junction Creek watershed. The project will be completed in collaboration with community partners, local experts, and Knowledge Holders, and will involve various interactive programs such as our Nature Discovery Backpack Lending Program, Stormwater Project, and Bug Search program in Greater Sudbury/ N’Swakamok.
